I got the nicest rejection letter ever today. Takes the sting off not getting selected.
“Thank you very much for your submission. This is to notify you that your very enjoyable story, Scarecrow, has not been chosen for inclusion…… Please feel free to keep in touch with me. Your work is most impressive. On a side note, I want you to know that I really did enjoy the story and think you should have no problem finding a good home for the work. You made it very hard for me because your writing is excellent. It is indeed a lovely tale and I hope to read more of your work soon.”
My short screenplay, ‘The Baltimore Pairing’ won Best Action/Adventure Screenplay at the Northern Virginia International Film & Music Festival.
The first draft is done. Now off to readers before editors are brought in. Then artists will be contacted. An exciting project continues. Of course none of this would be moving as smoothly without all the fantastic help from professional letter and friend, Marshall Dillon from http://www.firstdraftpress.net/.
The first trailer for ‘The Red Room’ has been released.
My disturbing short thriller, ‘A Child Outside’ has been optioned. The story resolves around a mother who makes a heart rending sacrifice to rid her life of demons. I look forward to see what this team does with the script.
Writing on the ‘Living Dead Girl’ comic is moving along. Matter of fact that’s what I should get back to doing. 🙂
The screenplay and short story are both back on the market. The publisher for the short story went out of business and the director moved on as these things go.
